Deed Restrictions

Map of Lakewood Village

Please note: the Deed Restrictions for each Subdivision of Lakewood Village is found in the list to the left, in the page list.

Welcome to Lakewood Village Improvement Association (LVIA).  Many new residents are surprised to learn the LVIA actually made up of 13 subdivisions, consisting of 425 residential homes.

All of our subdivisions are covered by one set of By-Laws. These By-Laws are consistent throughout the association.

We are also a deed restricted community.  However, the deed restrictions are not consistent throughout the subdivisions.  This has caused confusion in the past, especially with new residents.  We recommend you identify your subdivision and lot number and familiarize yourself with the deed restrictions applicable to your lot.  Please use this map to identify your lot and subdivision.  The Deed Restrictions for that subdivision are listed below.

As an example, certain subdivisions allow outside storage of recreational vehicles and some do not.  Additions to homes are required to be approved by the Architectural Committee prior to installation.  These are just a few issues that have come up in the past.  By reading and understanding which deed restrictions apply to your lot, you can avoid any misunderstanding going forward.

Should you have any questions pertaining to by-laws, deed restrictions, or additions, please feel free to contact the Ordinance and Architectural Committee. Currently those Board members are:

Bruce Larson  313-909-6060

Brian Lovejoy  248-909-7317

Thank you,

The LVIA Board
